Visceral Leishmaniasis (VL) and cutanious Leishmaniasis (CL) intracellular assay

This assay is used to monitor intracellular Leishmania growth inhibitory effects of testing inhibitors. The image-based assay system has the advantage of observing the cytotoxicity and efficacy of multiple compound at a time. Leishmania donovani causing visceral Leishmaniasis, and L. major and L. amazonensis causing cutaneous Leishmaniasis are used for this assay.

This assay is used to test the effect of inhibitors against extracellular leishmania. Leishmania donovani causing visceral Leishmaniasis, and L. major and L. amazonensis causing cutaneous Leishmaniasis are used for this assay.

T.cruzi (Chagas) intracellular assay [Code No: IPK0503]

The T. cruzi intracellular assay is used to find inhibitors for Chagas for disease treatment. The assay is performed using an image-based assay system with advantages of observing the cytotoxicity and efficacy of multiple compound at a time. T. cruzi Y strain, a highly infective strain among T.cruzi, is used for this assay.

T. brucei cell-based assay [Code No: IPK0504]

This cell-based assay is used to test the effect of inhibitors on T. brucei growth. The T. brucei bloodstream form, which is the human infective form, is used for this assay.

T. brucei Farnesyl pyrophosphate synthase (FPPS) assay [Code No: IPK0505]

T. brucei Farnesyl pyrophosphate synthase (FPPS) assay is an enzymatic assay to find inhibitors against FPPS, which is a key enzyme in the isoprenoid biosynthetic pathway.

Kinetoplast DNA replication assay in replicon system [Code No: IPK0506]

This cell-based assay is used to visualize the replication site in parasites. In Kinetoplastid, there is a unique mitochondrial-like organelle called the kinetoplast. This assay is used to study the effect of inhibitors on kinetoplast replication mechanism.

DNA-binding assay [Code No: IPK0507]

This is an electrophoretic mobility shift assay using FAM-labeled DNA to check DNA binding activity of some protein in the presence of inhibitors.

Topoisomerase I assay (plasmid relaxation assay) [Code No: IPK0508]

This plasmid relaxation assay is used to detect topoisomerase I activity based upon decreased mobility of the relaxed isomers of supercoiled pBR322 DNA in an agarose gel.
