Institut Pasteur Korea will hold an international symposium, both online and offline, on October 12th with the theme "Enhancing International Cooperation in the fight against Antimicrobial resistance (AMR), the silent pandemic."
This symposium is organized in collaboration with the Pasteur Network and RAPID (R&D Alliance for Preparedness of Infectious Diseases). RAPID is an R&D alliance launched in 2022 centered around the infectious disease experts of the members of the Pasteur Network in the Asia-Pacific region to prepare for and respond to future pandemics.
AMR is one of the 'Global Health 10 Threats' designated by the World Health Organization (WHO), known as a 'silent pandemic,'
Institut Pasteur Korea and RAPID have organized a platform to share various research outcomes for AMR response and to facilitate domestic and international research collaboration.
This symposium is scheduled to have 14 speakers from 8 countries related to global infectious disease preparedness and response.
To enhance International Cooperation in the fight against AMR, we encourage the active participation of experts in related fields.
