On 12 Sep (Tue), IPK will host the ‘Sym. 05 Host Responses to Immune Stimuli’ session during the 2017 International Conference of the Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology. The host’s response to immune stimuli is a highly complex multi-step process orchestrated by the host’s immune system to fight pathogens. This session will highlight examples of how viruses and parasites induce defense mechanisms and how a universal influenza vaccine may led to protective immunity. The session will also address dysregulated host response to non-foreign immune stimuli leading to auto-immune responses.
