21 April is ‘Science Day’ in Korea. 

It is an anniversary celebrating the importance of science and promoting science and technology. 21 April was officially designated Korea’s Science Day to commemorate the establishment of the Ministry of Science. Since the first Science Day in 1968, the Korean government has held various scientific events throughout the country in celebration.
