[Korea-France Joint Scientific Symposium] Crossroads of Basic and Translational Research in Biomedical Science

Korea-France Joint Scientific Symposium
“Crossroads of Basic and Translational Research in Biomedical Science”
To commemorate the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and France, Institut Pasteur Korea (IPK) and Institut Pasteur will jointly host the international symposium “Crossroads of Basic and Translational Research in Biomedical Science” on Friday, June 5, 2026.
This symposium brings together the two institutions, both of which have played leading roles in global infectious disease research, to explore new possibilities in biomedical science and future directions for international collaboration through the integration of basic and translational research.
The symposium will highlight the latest research trends and innovative case studies aimed at translating discoveries in infectious disease research and advanced biotechnology into practical therapeutic and preventive applications. Experts from academia, industry, and research institutions around the world will discuss cutting-edge bio-platform technologies, including virus and RNA research, AI-driven drug discovery, and organoid-based disease models, while also providing insights into strategies for strengthening global scientific collaboration.
Through this event, IPK seeks to further promote successful examples of translational and commercialized basic research, while strengthening scientific and technological cooperation and strategic partnerships between Korea and France.
We look forward to the interest and participation of researchers and professionals from Korea and around the world.
