[Herald Economy] “Getting injection is the only option for treatment?”… The world is striving to develop oral drugs.

Therapeutics that have already been approved for the treatment of COVID-19 are in the form of injections and have limitations for use among patients. "Camostat", one of the drugs for which antiviral activity was confirmed by Institut Pasteur Korea(IPK) through drug repositioning and currently undergoing clinical trials, has an advantage of oral use; thus it is expected to increase convenience. Dr. Seungtaek Kim, the Head of the Zoonotic Virus Lab at IPK, said, “Remdesivir, an antiviral agent that inhibits viral replication, can only be used in the early stages of infection. Its use is limited and because it is an injection, some patients show objection, which further limits its use.”
