[Daily Pharm] The recent trend in researching liver cancer in Korea

The news outlet Daily Pharm publishes an article about the recent trend in researching liver cancer. The article highlights 3 projects including IPK‘s co-research with Samjin Pharm, a joint venture between Chonnam National University HwaSun Hospital and BakCell Biotech, as well as a project between the New Drug Development Center of DGMIF and QuBest consulting.
Despite liver cancer being the 6th most frequent cancer globally, and the 2nd leading cause of cancer death, there are not many options for treatment and it has been difficult to develop novel therapies. New research focuses on understanding the underlying genetic mechanisms and discovering new drugs to block/reduce liver cancer cell growth.
