Mr. Changyoon Lee, Director-General, R&D Policy Bureau, Ministry of Science and ICT, visited Institut Pasteur Korea (IPK) to discuss key agendas with Dr. Youngmee Jee, the CEO of IPK, and sought for a conversation with researchers.

The meeting began with the presentation of IPK's current standing where its major achievements, including COVID-19 drug repositioning research; screening technology support for domestic and international industry-university-academia in vaccine/therapeutics research; and discovery and technology transfer of the drug candidates for tuberculosis, hepatitis C, and antibacterial resistance, were introduced.

In particular, Dr. Jee proposed mid-to-long-term strategies aiming to reinforce the R&D competitiveness of the institute, consisting of the action items to enhance and rejuvenate the core research facilities as well as foster infectious disease research experts by leveraging its unique expertise and global networks.
