in pursuit of research collaboration in the bio-medical field

Institut Pasteur Korea signed on the MOU with the Catholic University of Korea Medical and Biological Sciences and Bio-health Convergence Materials Education and Research Group (BK21 Four) on Feb 22 in pursuit of facilitating research collaboration in the bio-medical field.

The three parties agreed to establish collaborations in the development of therapeutics against infectious diseases and the potential application of biosensing materials in cancer diagnosis and bioimaging systems. To exchange human, information, and technology resources, they will promote diverse collaborations, such as exchanging researchers, sharing the latest technology and research information, and implementing collaborative research, education, and training.

In particular, this MOU will lead to discussions for short-term programs for (under)graduate students in medical and life science majors to build experiences of actual drug development research at the Institut Pasteur Korea, a center for international infectious disease research. The parties will also seek to accelerate the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by combining the advanced bioimaging technology of Institut Pasteur Korea and the next-generation functional biomaterials development technology of the Catholic University of Korea.

We look forward to creating research synergy and contributing to fostering global researchers through this cooperation!
