Institut Pasteur Korea holds a High Content Screening(HCS) for Therapeutics Discovery (Highlights Day 1 & 2)

Institut Pasteur Korea's signature training course, "High Content Screening (HCS) for Therapeutics Discovery", started on August 28th.The program takes place for five days until September 1st, with a total of 20 researchers and students participating from different nationalities. They receive various education on advanced screening technologies, including cell-based assay development, automated microscopy utilization, and low-content/high-content screening.

IPK, in joint with the leading instructors specializing in the field of drug screening from the Pasteur Network, including Institute Pasteur Paris and Institut Pasteur de Montevideo, provides in-depth theoretical courses and on-field training and promotes global exchange among the attendees.

-Topic: Designing & establishing cell-based assays for screening
-Lecture:
① Introduction to high content analysis and screening
② Production of reproducible cell material and quality assessment
③ Assay development and optimization for cell based assay
④ Identification of new antibacterial molecules through HTS
-Practical training: Practice on cell infection assay
-Pasteur Seminar: Redox fluorescent biosensors applied to the HCS and MoA of anti-trypanosomatid compounds, Marcelo Comini

◆Day 2 (8/29)
-Topic: Advanced cell-based assays and ex-vivo models for screening
-Lecture:
① Screening of immuno-modulatory molecules – in vitro & ex vivo models
② Assay development and functional genomics
-Practical training: Assay development and screening
-Pasteur Seminar: HCS analysis of inner ear organoids: Multiscale analysis of developing epithelial tissues and organoids imaged with multi-position spinning disk microscopes, Raphael Etourna
