Institut Pasteur Korea held a 2024-1 Virus Research Collaboration Advisory Committee Meeting

Institut Pasteur Korea held the first Virus Research Collaboration Advisory Committee meeting on March 20th.


During the meeting, Institut Pasteur Korea presented the status and plans of the Global Infectious Disease Specimen Bank (GISB). The committee's affiliated organizations presented preclinical response strategies for treatments and vaccines in response to emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases.


Following that, plans for infectious disease-related activities in 2024 and future operation plans of the council were discussed, including presentations from eight  institutions such as ▲Institut Pasteur Korea ▲Korea Virus Research Institute, ▲Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology, ▲Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology, ▲Korea Institute of Toxicology, ▲Korea Mouse Phenotyping Center, ▲K-BIO, ▲KMEDIhub. 

Established by the Ministry of Science and ICT in 2021, the Virus Research Collaboration Advisory Committee seeks to enhance infectious disease response capabilities by exploring joint research and development strategies. Institut Pasteur Korea will actively communicate and collaborate based on its outstanding ability to translate basic research into applications.
