Institut Pasteur Korea Discussed Cooperation with Singapore's Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR)
Institut Pasteur Korea (IPK) explored cooperation opportunities with A*STAR (Agency for Science, Technology and Research)’s Infectious Diseases labs (ID Lab).
On the 9th, Sung Key Jang, CEO of Institut Pasteur Korea, met with Professor Lisa Ng, Executive Director and Senior Principal Investigator of ASTAR's Infectious Diseases labs, to exchange information on the research status and current issues at both institutions.
The discussions focused on potential collaboration in infectious disease R&D, including antibiotic resistance, respiratory diseases, and zoonotic diseases, and covered future strategies.
IPK participated in the joint forum between A*STAR and Institut Pasteur held from the 12th to the 13th, where presentations were given on topics such as 'Discovery of New Therapeutic Agents for Staphylococcus aureus Infections' and 'Interdisciplinary Collaborations for COVID-19 Drug Development,' followed by discussions with relevant researchers.
A*STAR, established by the Singapore government in 1991 to promote science, technology, and R&D, conducts mission-driven research and collaborates with industry partners to advance scientific discovery and technological innovation.
