Institut Pasteur Korea is selected as `The Year Organization of Excellent Safety Environment`.

In recognition of the excellent safety as well as maintenance capacities, Institut Pasteur Korea (www.ip-korea.org) was honored with the award for ‘the excellence of the safety environment in laboratories’ by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

Upon its relocation to Pangyo Techno-valley in May 2009, Institut Pasteur Korea established the world-class advanced infra with safer environment to make a research on highly dangerous viruses causing the serious diseases. In particular, newly constructed facilities are characterized with the highest (BSL-3+) and largest (330m2) BSL-3 in Korea, where researchers have currently been working on high-content screening on live infectious materials such as HIV, TB virus.
