Institut Pasteur Korea to Host
“Breaking into Europe: Bio-Medical & Pharma Market Strategies” Forum

(Sep. 25, 2025, Gyeonggi-do, Rep. of Korea) Institut Pasteur Korea (IPK) announced that it will host the “Breaking into Europe: Bio-Medical & Pharma Market Strategies” forum on September 30 (Tuesday) at the institute’s Monod Conference Room.
The forum is organized as part of the “Gyeonggi-do Bio-Company Europe Market Entry Network Support Project,” jointly conducted by Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator (GBSA) to strengthen the global competitiveness of local bio companies.

Targeted at domestic companies preparing to enter the European market, the event will cover key topics such as pharmaceutical and medical device regulations, industry trends, market entry strategies, global patents, and networking opportunities.

Europe’s biopharmaceutical industry is the second largest in the world after North America, representing a vital global market. However, complex regulatory systems and country-specific approval procedures have made it more challenging for Korean companies to enter compared to the U.S. or Asian markets.
Through this project, IPK aims to support Korean bio companies in overcoming regulatory and market barriers when entering Europe by providing customized consulting, technical exchange sessions for global capacity building, and seminars featuring successful case studies of Korean firms that have entered the European market.

The forum will feature sessions on various topics, including: EU MDR certification and clinical trial preparation, trends in the European biopharma industry, market entry strategies for K-Bio and healthtech companies, global networking for innovative technology enterprises, and European patent strategies.

Additionally, European patent attorney Nicolas Delorme
from Germain Maureau (France) will join an online Q&A session on patent-related issues, while KOTRA will operate an on-site consulting booth offering in-depth market entry advice.
Further details are available on the Institut Pasteur Korea website.

Sung Key Jang, CEO of Institut Pasteur Korea said “Based on our extensive European research experience and networks built through Korea–France scientific collaboration, IPK is dedicated to helping Korean bio companies strengthen their global competitiveness. This forum will be a meaningful platform for sharing practical strategies and insights for successful entry into the European market.”
