Dr. Francoise Barre-Sinoussi, the co-winner of the 2008 Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine for the discovery of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), visited Korea last week and spoke with Chosun Ilbo (a major Korean newspaper). In the interview, she talked about the reasons and countermeasures behind the virus epidemic and shared words of encouragement to Korean scientists.
