With keen supports of 130 drug discovery experts who had attended, "The 1st IP-K OPEN HOUSE" has concluded with success

Dec 1st, 2011, Gyeonggi, Korea, Institut Pasteur Korea(IP-K) has successfully held “The 1st IP-K Open House” event on Dec. 1st, 2011, where over 120 drug discovery experts in the field of academia, institutes and industries mostly in domestic have attended.

“The 1st IP-K Open House” was the first event that IP-K officially opened its door to potential and current partners and collaborators in domestic. The main purpose of this event was to elevate the IP-K’s reputation in various domestic drug discovery societies by sharing IP-K’s state-of-the-art translational research technologies and research achievements. The event began with Part I, where Ulf Nehrbass, the CEO of Institut Pasteur Korea, has brought broader understanding of IP-K’s mission for translational research and core technologies to domestic drug discovery experts. The Part II consisted of IP-K’s Drug Discovery Technology Exhibition, Lab Tour and Networking with a combination of nicely prepared reception.

The 120 attendees to the event came from 65 different domestic and international affiliations, in which 51% was pharmaceutical industries, 15% academia, 14% institutes, and 9% government and others, and 75% of them were new to IP-K.

“I am glad to have an opportunity to share IP-K````s mission of translational research. By establishing foundations to facilitate partnerships and cooperation with domestic bio and pharmaceutical industries as well as academia, I believe this become a cornerstone to develop new joint research opportunities and make more effective use of IP-K’s advanced drug discovery technologies.” said Ulf Nehrbass.
