Institut Pasteur Korea held the 14th Scientific Advisory Committee

Dr. Youngmee Jee, CEO of Institut Pasteur Korea (IPK), held the 14th Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) on June 22nd. Seven SAC members including Dr. Neil Carragher, Chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee, Professor of the University of Edinburgh, UK and fifteen members from IPK, including Executives and research heads, and principal investigators participated in the meeting online and offline.

Taking a new approach, this scientific advisory committee was held as an addition to the regular annual meetings convened yearly around November with the aim of discussing mid-to-long-term research directions and strategies to expand global research cooperation.

Various opinions were shared for IPK to concrete further its position as a pivotal research center for global emerging infectious diseases preparedness and response. The discussion focused on the ways to advance its research capabilities and drug screening platform to accelerate the discovery of therapeutics and vaccines and expand research collaboration leveraging the broad Pasteur Network.
